i recently purchased a new set of 35" maxxis creepy crawlers and thought some of yous might like a lil feedback on what my initial impressions are. bein
first off, for those that care, these are the quietest tire i have ever ran. similar to that of the bfg at's i used to run. but being that i bought them for wheeling on the rocks not the lots, tire noise is not a big concern for me but a plus none the less. now they are a lil spendy but so far i think they have the potential to really surpass my old mtr's in offroad traction and performance.
my first trip offroad had them on the trails of table mesa. due to mechanical failure of a friend of mine, i was only able to warm the tires up on raw deal lower/upper and the terminators. i aired down to 12 psi and noticed that they offered lil sidewall flex at this pressure as compared to my mt/r's. so i dropped all the way to 5 in the rear and 8 up front. at this level, they flexed a lot better, but still had a stiff sidewall. i was willing to sacrifice the breaking in period of the sidewalls in order to have the protection they offer.
on my trip this past weekend, i had a faulty tire gauge and i dropped my front tires all the way down to 3 psi. this is on your standard steel 15x10 rim. no beadlocks. and to my surprise, i never peeled a bead or even burped at any of the trails i ran which included predator, and some unamed trail my buddy knows about similar in difficulty. over the last two years, i have lost beads in my mtr's at 7-8 psi, granted this is a new tire and only time will tell if the same will be true of these.
so far, i really like these tires and enjoy the amazing amount of traction they offer as compared to my old mtr's. especially in the wet rocks. they just crawl up any line i point them ( which is pretty scary some times  )
i plan on possibly headin out maybe sat. night if any one would like to see them in action. for any other q's as for application and availability, id call rick beer at discount on 15th and bell.
i will be updating this thread as time goes on as i find out more positives and negatives about these tires. until then, happy trails and "you go big or go home"
