28-755. Hand or arm signals or signal device

A person shall give a stop or turn signal if required by this article by means of the hand and arm or by a signal lamp or lamps or mechanical signal device of a type approved by the department. If a vehicle is constructed or loaded so that a hand and arm signal would not be visible both to the front and rear of the vehicle, the signals must be given by a lamp or lamps or signal device.

I know when I registered a sandrail years ago. Turn signals could be done by hand. But brake lights were required. also required: head lights and a license plate light

Edit: also "tail lights" but they are normaly the same unit as the brake lights anyway.

Are you wanting to know, what you need to not get pulled over driving in the daytime, or what is required to pass a DMV inspection ?
