Hi All,

I have a few questions regarding a tranny swap...

I need to know is if a 32RH can be swapped into the gaping hole where a 999 used to be. Are the bolt patterns the same, dose the tranny mount line up? Does the CPS need to be used or can it be trashed? Any other fitment issues?

Just to be clear...the TF999 came out of a 1980 jeep and we want to put in a newer version just because...

Thanks for any help...

Mike

Here's a similar question. I know some of the "newer" transmissions require a TPS connection, but in some cases, replacing the valve body with a manual one bypasses this issue.

It should work but do a search here (http://cjoffroad.com/forums/default.asp) under 4.0 swap info. , they have alot of everything.

I came across some info about the 32RH.

The only electrical on it is the Reverse lights and the NSS.
Is does'nt talk with the TPS.

Its the same as your 80 style TF999 with a few more plastic internal parts.

The 32RH will also have a CPS location on it, but if your engine IS'NT computer controlled then just dont use it.

I havent done it but I dont see why it wouldnt work.
