As I said on fb, I don't think he was being repo'd and I would therefore give him a trophy. He should have driven away in a normal fashion instead of hauling *** though.

Not hardcore, hardcore would have been putting it in 4 low and backing up and over the tow truck, dude was only in 2wd :)

Props to him for being able to do that in 2wd, but that's also just further proof that JK owners are mallcrawlers because dude probably didn't even think to put it in 4wd :)

I wonder if he was breaking in a new set of gears...

I'm guessing that was the repo man?

I don't believe it was a repo, probably illegal parking. The reason I don't believe this, is those repo guys are usually hauling *** the very second the vehicle is a millimeter off the ground. It's like an art. This driver was standing around presumably doing paperwork....that's more like a city worker/contractor posture IMO.

Like I said on FB, the delay in him gunning it was he was thumbing through the owner's manual trying to figure out how to put it in 4wd. He eventually said, "eff-it", and put it to the floor. :)

100% agree with Mike on this...I lived in Chicago for a long time, parking tickets are a huge profit center for the city and it's "vendors"...repo men do NOT screw around, they hook and go in a hurry!

I have done exactly that very thing. I own a small town house on a private street where you cant park on the street between midnight and 6am. I forgot one night and my neighbor banged on my door. I chased the truck down in my girls truck and parked blocking the street. Jumped in the Jeep and pulled off when he told me he would drop it for $100. He got out yelling and I chased him back into his truck with my Mag light taking out the drivers window as he drove off. I was stuck a half mile from home with two vehicles in nothing but my boxers and bare feet. Had to leap frog them home so couldn't come back and take one.
