I'm wanting to buy my dad some new tools for his birthday this week and wanted to get him some Snap-On ratchets and sockets. My old-man turns 60 this thursday.

I already ordered the following from their website and it should get here in time for the bday party hopefully:

RAT936 (http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item.asp?P65=&tool=hand&item_ID=53393&group_ID=12503&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog)

But they were out of stock on their 10 and 13 pc metric socket sets.

Does anybody here know how I can contact or meet up with the Snap On Tool truck guy? Is there a regular schedule that he's on where I can meet him at someplace like 4 wheelers and just walk up and buy what I need? Or a phone # I can reach him at? Not sure how that works.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, you are on the right track. The guys keep a fairly regular schedule. I thik you ad a good idea. Call the shops and see when he is coming back. Mechanic or not, I know the Snap On tool guy will not pass up on a sale.

I have done the same thing. I dont use Snap On, but everynow and then, I need a speacail tool or part, and have meet up with one at the local 4x4 shops.

Good luck

Thanks

I was able to get in touch with Mitch, a local rep, and he says he has the stuff I'm looking for. I'm calling him back to setup an appointment.

I was referenced to him by going to http://www.snapon.com/customer_service/dealer_finder_pg1.asp and dialing the number shown.

Thanks,

Ben

*edit: got our stuff... also got a nascar calander, full catalog, and a July 2005 brochure of stuff onsale. He had some pretty cool stuff in the truck, was a good buying experience.
