This is nothing more than a link to a pdf that you have to download, print, and mail in.

Unless I'm missing something....

It is a vast improvement of having to either call and have them mail you an app or go down there to get one.

The thing that bothers me is the fact that the state probably paid $100,000 for this crappy website and they put up a pdf file... when any just about any programmer worth their salt could have automated the process so that you submit your information and payment and you print out your bar coded permit JUST like when you get a temporary registration on http://www.servicearizona.com

I guess what irks me the most is that I offered to build such a site for the state for absolutely no cost... yet they'll pay tens or hundreds of thousands of our taxpayer dollars and produce crap.

If I know the State, someone down there probable got a kickback under the table from one of their friends for doing it that way instead of yours.

Same permit.

FYI...they are now ticketing tow rigs at the FJ carpark if you don't hang the tag in the window.

It appears that the URL has changed:

This is the current link to download the application for a State Land Permit (http://www.land.state.az.us/programs/natural/recreation_permit.htm)

Thanks Russ. I have made the change in Hackle's first post to have the corrected link in there.
