Anything open close???

I am on vacation this week and I am looking for something somewhat close to wheel but seems like everything is closed to fires.

Is anybody up for a run on either Weds, Thurs or Friday? Looking for solid 3 rated.

Also does anyone know if the area around Florance Junction is open (Martinez Cabin, Coke Ovens or Box Canyon).

I am open to suggestions.

Turkey creek is always fun..... :) I don't know if the road to Cleator is open because of the Humbug fire...Anyone know?

You all may have found out already but just in case you have not this is from the "Old site". It does not get specific about Cleator, but does give a number to call that may help.

I have tried calling the number that Stomper provided to see if the roads to Cleator is open, however it just rings and rings and rings........

In anycase I would like to do Turkey Creek on Thurs. If Zman or Dragonfly know a good meeting spot post it and I will be there...

I would say that it would be to our benefit to start early to beat the heat. I don't know much about this trail so if anyone has done it before, feel free to lead!!!

I have not done it, but I believe you turn off on the Bumble Bee/I17 exit. That's were I would meet you as I am comming from Northern AZ.

Well according to stompers post it is open....so why don't you post it up on azvjc.org so people can sign up....

I'17 and care free highway is always a good place to meet for Phoenix people either on the SE corner or at the Mc Donalds.

I really don't like too early runs though.... :eek:
