There are only 5 people currently signed up for the Coves clean-up this Sunday. We need more people to participate. Come out and help care for our backcountry and help maintain our working relationship with the Forest Service. Please sign up today on the old site (http://www.azvjc.org/OldSite/).
Thanks,
Roger

The forest service is opening this up for us and asking us for a favor. We need to respond with a good turnout. I can not go as I am going on a company trip to Vegas this weekend. If I was in town I would go. Please help if you can.

I believe that the coves are still closed off and locked up. I have taken two trips out there over the last three weeks and have not seen the access gate unlocked yet.

The gate will be opened especially for us for this cleanup.

According to the details on the old site (http://www.azvjc.org/OldSite/), the Forest Service contacted someone in the AZVJC about doing the clean-up. They will be opening the gates for us, providing trash bags, and providing a "trash barge" to pick up the filled bags. More details are on the old site.

Me and my non-lifted, skinny tired Rubicon will be there. I will probably even bring my Canadian M101 trailer. Hmmm...well it is not registered yet. Maybe not.
Take care,

We'd love to have you!
On another note, although you're Rubicon should be fine, we're headed to Coves 2 and further back if possible to coves 3 & 4. These are much harder to get to so I'd recommend not bringing anything stock. Except a Rubicon of course. :)
For this reason, I'm also not bringing my M416. My lift is still new and I need to work the kinks out. Also, the Forest Service will be picking up the trash on the shores using their trash barge so we don't need to haul anything out. Unless we see a car or something :) (we've done that before).
