AZJeeps TJ&XJ

Well, after some searching around I finally decide to upgrade the headlights on the TJ. I was going to do a H4 conversion, but for a decent setup the price would be around $100+. And I didn't want to wait around for parts to come in and I haven't seen any in use yet to compare to. So I went the cheaper route. I picked up a pair of Sylvania's SilverStar's. These run about $25 each, so about half the cost of the conversion. Now I have been running these on my XJ for almost a year now, so I know they are the brightest straight replacement.
I have also put these in my grandfathers Tahoe, which I should have gotten pics of because it just about doubled the light and I only replaced the low beam side. The low beams were as bright as the high beams.
The TJ had bright OEM lights, but driving out to Buckeye at 10pm on MC85, they just don't cut it. Now, I haven't gone out there yet, as I only put them in tonight, but I can tell they are going to help a lot. I snapped a few pics, but they didn't come out the best.
I compared the stock lights to the SilverStar's and I noticed one big change (besides the brightness). The silverstar's have a area that lets light out at the bottom where the stock ones didn't. So when I aimed them down the street, they lighted up the ground in front of me with more of a direct light where the stock ones have just a general light pattern.
I also picked up two new H3 bulbs, both Silverstar's and both only 55w for the OEM foglights. These do put out more light and still use only 55w, so if you are looking for more light and don't want to re-wire for more power, these will give you some more light.
I guess the biggest thing I like that is if a rock or something wants to take a shot at the lamp, I can pick up a new one at Checker or Autozone, and I don't have to buy a whole new housing and maybe a new bulb like the conversions.

The right side is the new lamps. Notice how there is some light goin down from the center point, I marked in red.

Now the red area I circled, this is about 75% from the new lights.
I know there is better options out there, but I am easy and lazy, and I know these work nice for the money. Just my few pennies...
