What part of town are you in? I can't speak for the North/West sides as I've yet to do any wheeling up there, but there are a few easy trails on the East side.
If you want *real* easy, Bulldog Canyon in north Mesa can be run in your street car :) It's on National Forest land with locked gate, so you have to get a (free) permit from the FS. The permit includes 6 months worth of combinations (changed monthly). Each vehicle in the group needs their own permit. There's a ranger station in Mesa where you can get one but they're only open M-F 9-5.
In FJ, Box Canyon is easy and Lower Woodpecker and Lower Ajax are pretty mild but can still be fun if you want them to be.

im in the south part of town...
I dont really care what part of town id have to head to, just
looking for something to try at night. I dont want anything
REAL easy that could be done in a car...just something that
isnt going to require tons and tons of experience and 35s and the
lift to fit em.
If anyone else is interested, im new to the city and would be interested
in meeting some peeps to wheel with as well.

Yeah....I'd be up for a medeum night run. I want to get some undercarrage lights mounted first, but it sounds fun! It would be my first AZ trail too!

I have no specific plans as far as times go, but I was thinking early to beat the heat. Back way to Crown King is a trail that starts out North of Phoenix by Lake Pleasant. It goes up to the small town of Crown King. I haven't done the trail myself yet, but friends of mine said it is a fairly mild trail. to tell you the truth I haven't been out wheelin in a long *** time and just have to get out.

I haven't talked to anyone who has by on it since the rains either. I think I heard somewhere that it was pretty eroded towards the top.

A nieghbor of mine rode his dirt bike up there a few weeks ago, and told me he didnt see any way a Jeep could make it
(of course he doesnt own a Jeep either  so I dont know how valid his opnion is)

Looking at your setup
"2001 TJ, 5.5", w/custom four link rear, 1" BL Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 rear w/ Detroit, Front ARB, SMF front/rear bumpers, 35" MTR's "
You go first ! :D ;)
I have a feeling I would need to turn around before you
Hopefully someone will jump in here and give us the "truth" about the current condition of the crown king trail.

A number of people have recently run the trail and reported it is passible. There are evidently some new bypasses around some washed out sections. And I've heard the trail takes about 45-60 minutes longer than it use to due to it being more rough.
