We got back from Chinle and our first Jeep Jamboree mid-afternoon yesterday. We had a great time - good guides, fantastic scenery. My spouse counted, and we had about 70+ water crossings during the two days in the canyon. Lots of fun was had in the Chinle Wash, racing around trying to stay out of the quicksand. It may be a little on the $$$$ side, but after checking around, I don't think we could have wrangled a better deal. We were told that there were 53 Jeeps and over 100 people at the Jamboree. Saw two other members of the AZVJC (not that I know everyone!) as well. We all looked like we'd gotten enough fun for a weekend!

Was one of them a yellow Jeep?
Dan used to and maybe still does go on those runs every year. From what he has said they are well worth the $$$$.

Wife and I did that Jambo last year - I agree with Kent, worth every penny. Everybody should do Canyon de Chelly at least once - incredible scenery, and a very different outlook on the history of the southwest from the Native American point of view.
People talk about "vortexes" in Sedona - Canyon de Chelly felt like one big, long vortex to me and my wife - and we're really not that kind of people :) (no crystals here  )
