OK Mat, I guess you don't have to quit your job to make a Jeep show. :D Here is another freeway opening / Jeep Show. This one is for the Red Mountain Freeway, loop 202, from Higley to Power Road in Mesa. We have once again bee invited by ADOT to bring our Jeep Club out in force to show the public just what a great bunch of people we are and what a great effort we put forth in promoting responsible use of public lands and what immense talents we have at piloting remote control Jeeps. This one is the VERY NEXT WEEKEND after the Santan opening in Chandler.

This time we will be helping open the 202 in the north end of Mesa. For those of you that live in Phoenix or on the west end of the valley, this isn't far at all to attend. It's only a few minutes past the intersection of the 101 and the 202 in Tempe/Scottsdale.

I've got the paperwork covered again with ADOT but we will still need all of the other things.....

Bob are you able to make another one with your generator? I'll do the usual begging at 4 wheelers supply for videos and I'll bring the tv, dvd, vcr setup again. We will still need shade setups and most importantly WE NEED JEEPS!!!!!!!!!!!

More details to follow as I receive them.

I might be able to make this one, althought I do fly out the next day for 3 weeks in TX. When I saw "Higley to Power" I thought it was the section between those roads down here by me and thought no way could they get that section done by then :D

Higley and Power eh? I can spit at both of them from where I live! Got no reason not to show up for this one! :D The only part I don't like is they took away a part of a mountain biking trail I frequent. Guess it was bound to happen though.

Will be out of town for this one...friend's wedding in Hawaii. Hmmm...what would YOU choose?!?!? :D

XJ - what mtb trail you talkin' bout? The old "TRW trail" had a portion closed by a local company <cough> the one I work for <cough> , but all the stuff on the "Hawes" side is still open. I ride out there a couple times a week. Lemme know if you're interested in hooking up with us some time. Will likely be out there early this Sunday. Probably by 6 or 6:30AM. Usually park at Walgreens on Power/Thomas.

Tom

The trail I'm referring is the fenceline trail. While not closed yet, part of it will be when they continue the rest of the 202. Makes a great warm up trail before Hawes. I work second shift, so 6-6:30AM is kinda early for me. I'm all up for some night rides though. :D

Ok, and now back on the regularly scheduled thread.......
