I told mark that I would build him a stout rear bumper for his B-day, :o I know its a little late but, Better late then NEVER :)

Its made of all scrap.
An AZVJC member hooked us up with a piece of 2x4x3/16 steel, and I had some 3x3 angle and flat stock just sitting around.

I think it turned out good for something we just kinda threw together.
And YES, its end-capped good, just in case he wanted to use it for an air tank.

Is there some reason you showed the piece of angle on the right side?

Again.... a really nice simple design that will do the job. I wish my neighbor had the internet, he has been trying to come up with a rear bumper design for his XJ and I bet he has the scrap laying around to do this.

After the bumper was completed, Mark wanted a place for his CB whip.
Thats what the tab is for...

Hey Triple XJ I noticed a nice welder and a tube bender... Do you build bumpers and sliders for others? If so i would like to talk with you. I am looking for front/rear bumper and skids and sliders if you can help out a newbie.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Mike

Triple XJ,

How is your spare mounted on the roof? I am considering a basket for the tire and other stuff, but your way might suit me. I have the stock roof rack with the two cross rails.

Thanks
