I am getting 4 take off shocks and stablizer for my 97 TJ.
How much will a shop charge me to install em?
what tools would I need to do it myself?

Probably somewhere between $10-20 per shock, since you didn't buy them at the installers. When you buy them from the installer, it usually is real cheap, to free for the install.
You'll probably only need 3 wrenches of the appropriate size, either open end, box end or sockets & ratchet, to change them yourself. It's pretty easy, and a good first project.

Changing shocks is a cake walk. Do it yourself, The fronts will be easier if you take off the wheels, but it's not necessary.

It's a very easy job, but if you prefer some help, post a "wrenching party" run on the main AZVJC site. Pick a date/time (helps to give some advanced notice) and provide your address and phone so folks know where to go. Someone near you is bound to be available to help out. FYI - offering food/drinks will usally increase the turnout and is much cheaper than paying a shop to do the work ;)
Good luck!
