I don't know if the Champlain Fighter Museum in Mesa is still open, but there was (still is?) a room of nothing but scaled down engines of various types. They are quite amazing. There are 2 students in the Mfg Eng program at ASU making scale engines -- just because. One is a sterling and the other is a multi-piston steam engine.

I remember seeing something like this a long time ago, the guy made complete working too scale Dodge Viper GTS Coupe an old Ford Coupe with complete working everything, they are amazing the engine was like 25,000 and the whole viper was close a hundred. He doesn't make them anymore because there was a fire in the shop that destroyed almost all of his plans. If you search you may be able to find the site. Search for real scale viper or somethign like that.
