Want to drown my sorrows in some ice cream, and perfer a mom and pop shop.
Anyone know of a little hole in the wall ice cream place? I have a DQ and Cold Stone in walking distance but would like to try something new.
I'm on the west side, Peoria and I-17.

I just dig hole in the wall places, which have been difficult for me to find out here.
Besides, in the country back at home, all we had are little mom and pop places that charges 2 bucks for a large home made ice cream that would equal a pint of ice cream from Cold Stone.
But... I have been thinking a pint of their cheesecake ice cream with blueberries and gharamcracker would be the bomb at this point.
I think I'm going to take a walk to Cold Stone... but keep this thread alive, if people know good hole in the wall places for the future, I'd like to know about them. :D

Mary Coyle's on the corner of (I think) 15th avenue and Thomas right across the street from Phoenix College. Mom and Pop shop... throwback from the 50s. Great place.

I am sure there is a Mary Coyle's at 7th ave, and Missouri(just north of). I am pretty sure the Thomas store moved to this location a couple years ago...I will also agree that they have good IC. You can also get a good Breakfast burrito across the street @ Sylvia's, good food/mediocre service...John

NJ been here since April though. Think I'd know enough people out here to have a good time, but I don't. Got thinking about that yesterday so that's why I got a little down.
Been thinking it is time to reinvent myself again. If all I seem to live for and truly enjoy is my job, then something has to be done.
