The shop was originally next to the WhataBurger east of Val Vista on Main (east
of the canal), but I recently saw 'CB Exchange' on a blue building a little
further east on Main. I bought my Cobra CB (w/weather band) from there. The
store owner is very knowledgable about radios. If you live in the extreme
south section of the valley there is a CB store in Eloy that is supposed to be
pretty reasonable.
FWIW: I bought the CB I use now from Radio Shack during a clearance sale. It
has a SSB mode which is kind of funky. The old Cobra will be used elsewhere.

Subject: leaf springs
I have a '91 YJ with a 4" Pro Comp lift. As many of you know, the
Pro Comp springs are very tight! I've had the lift on for about 18
months, have taken it off road quite a bit and drive it daily, and
they're still stiff!
I have gotten 2 suggestions on how to loosen them up.
1. remove the bottom leaf
2. open up the spring clips that hold the packs together
Has anyone by chance done either of these? I'm afraid to loose some
height by removing a leaf - is that true? Loosening the clips sounds
easiest, but do I have to remove the springs to do that? I guess
they can be heated up with a torch and pulled open, insert a spacer
and bend them back, then remove the spacer.
Thanks,
Tom

Selling my sound bar off my Wrangler. I have some other speaker ideas, plus
I need the cash. It bolts to the rollbar on each side with four bolts (two

covered in a material that is the same as the deck covers/rollbar padding. I
can sell it with speakers or without. Currently it has polk 4" speakers ,
which are excellent speakers. Make an offer. The speakers alone are normally
80 bucks and are in excellent shape. Ive seen most sound bars selling for 200
bucks or somewhere around there. Email me ack if you are interested. Thanks.

I was actually thinking they were near Waldo's BBQ which is off Greenfield.
But it was a long time ago. I got this address off qwestdex.com. Hard to
tell if that's accurate though. I just remember it seemed to take forever
to get there!

Thanks,
Tom

I tried that several times but my neighbors really got ticked when I kept 4
wheelin' through their yards. They finally asked me if I would go on runs
out in the desert somewhere.

What is the trail rating for Mud Springs and what kind or terrain is it. Any other info on this trail would be appreciated. Some friends are doing this trail on Sunday, I will be going if I can get the traction bar built for my YJ. I have had a bad axle wrap problem since I did the soa. I should know if I am going Saturday, I know that will be a little late of a notice but I will post the details. Thanks in advance.

Subject: Sound bar for sale
Selling my sound bar off my Wrangler. I have some other speaker ideas, plus
I need the cash. It bolts to the rollbar on each side with four bolts (two
per side). It sits in front of the roll bar that goes over your head. It is
covered in a material that is the same as the deck covers/rollbar padding. I
can sell it with speakers or without. Currently it has polk 4" speakers ,
which are excellent speakers. Make an offer. The speakers alone are normally
80 bucks and are in excellent shape. Ive seen most sound bars selling for 200
bucks or somewhere around there. Email me ack if you are interested. Thanks.

Home Depot, I got a mount for mine there and bolted it to the floor between
my seat and the side of the Jeep, this way I can reach it from the inside or
outside with very little trouble. Before I put it there, I used the same
mount and some zip ties to attach it to the roll bar behind the drivers
seat.

I'm not 100% positive, but I could swear that I read somewhere that RE
switched from using the Pro Comp springs a little while back because they
were having sagging problems. For some reason, National Springs comes to
mind, but I've had a long day and might be delerious (sp?).

rubicon is good, but u can save money by buying the explorer pro-comp 4"
