Since the first post by k7mto was lost, I figured I'd start a new one.

We started out around 9am with 6 people to the group and after some quick discussion we headed out expecting to run Beeline to Bartlett (Log Corral). We make it down 87 and see this:

So after some more discussion and losing one due to a leaky tranny we decided to try a little path directly on the other side of the highway. It was a forest service road but it seemed quite a little boring for everyone so out we went back to 87:

We decided to go check out the Coves just for something to do. It is closer then FJ (which was discussed) and we didn't want to waste anymore of the day. It's not really technical by any means but it sure is scenic, plus, it also has a nice little rock pile if you can find it.

Here we are playing on some of the hill climbs in the area:

Onward to look for some rocks:

Instead the narrow trails opened up to show us the beautiful lake. We decided to stop here for lunch and what a nice stop it was.

Local wildlife:

Chillin' at lunch:

After lunch we vowed to fine those elusive rocks!!!

On our way again:

Grumble... turn around, wrong way:

After we played around for a while it was time to head back out:

A great day was had by all. It was great weather, great people, great conversations and great attitudes!!! Matt and the rest of the guys I'd wheel with ya'll anytime. :D

And like usual, here is my pretty pic of the day. Again I can't decide on juts one so here are my two favorites (though the second one is more my favorite) :

Nice Pics Jamie,
I havent been out that way ever, but now after seeing your pics, I'll have to make the trip before it gets to stinkin HOT.

How is your Jeep working ?
What would you change ?
Have you got all the bugs worked out ?
T-case adjustment, and any others ? :)

Don't go expecting a lot of rocks, it's only a small pile of stuff way back there. :D But there is some killer camping, especally right by the lake where we stopped for lunch.

As for the Jeep, I want it back to stock!!!! :p ;)

I love it so far. :D It got a little workout and I could feel the difference from hopw it was before. It definitely is more stable. Not sure if I'd change much of anything other then my patients on learning how to drive it again. I did manage to push in the drag link and tierod but it was pretty minor and was able to pop it back out with a winch. I may look to upgrade the steering at some point in the future but provided I just watch myself (and those rocks that sneak up on you) I should be fine for now. I need a belly up pan. I got a little caught on my underside today and have just some minor scuffs on the bottom of it. From those I could tell that if I was up even the little bit my skid could have given me, I would have been fine. Control arm brackets that are enclosed would be nice too since I scuffed up the passenger side one.

But the lift in general with the antirock and the shocks on 4 did its job perfectly in my book.

There are only a few bugs. Eric throttled out my Jeep after we got the DS on and there is some vibration at higher RPM's so my uppers need to be slightly adjusted but for around town. Of course after yesterdya there is a little more vibration but nothing looks out of place and I didn't touch any of the DS's.

As for the T-case, it seems in the past all I neded to do was pull it straight back to get it to work correctly. After the lift and the messing aroudn with the linkage, Eric pointed out that I needed to pull it slightly to the right and then back. It works flawlessly doing that so the adjustment isn't needed. :D I was in and out of 4LO, 4HI and 2HI all day yesterday and the only time it grinded was if I was goign a little too fast to move out of 4LO. ;)

So for now, it's doing what I want it to do. It will be a never ending process I'm sure but I like it, it likes me and you and Eric did some great work (see my thank you thread in general discussion). :D

Geno, PM'ed ya.

Let me know what you might be up for. I do need to meet Antman and My1stJeep to get them the items they bought from me that day too. Maybe if I can meet Antman before going out and then My1stJeep after coming back it wouldn't be so bad.

Need to do something that will make me tired considering I need to be up early in the AM on Wednesday after arriving back into town and home at like 3:30am on Tuesday morning.

Here's a re-post of my lost original post...

A few of us went to run Log Corral (Beeline to Bartlett) today but
everything west of the Beeline was gated closed

To prevent the day from being a total wash, we decided to go cruise
around the Coves of Saguaro Lake. Not much challenge, but we had fun
nonetheless. Jamie joined us from the west side and got a chance to
drive her own junk and try out the new lift, etc.

Here are some pics...
