I did a search and couldn't find a topic about this. I need to replace my shackle bushings. Simple enough. But I went to this page to look around...

http://jeep4x4center.com/cj7/Bushings_%20Urethane.htm

... and they have bushings for stock or aftermarket shackles. I know my shackles are aftermarket but I have no idea what brand. So does that mean all aftermarket shackles take the same bushings? And what is different about the bushings for stock shackles? Are the stock shackles thinner?

Thanks for any help.

Doug

Well I found the correct shackle bushings and replaced them today. Man, the old bushing were completely toast. Now I no longer have bump-induced rear steering. :D Much better! Check out this pic of the old bushings...

Looks to me like whoever installed the lift put new bushing in the leafs but not where the shackles attach to the frame. Not sure why, seems like you would put all new bushings in with the lift. Maybe they figured it would be too much work to get them out, which it really wasn't.
