I happened to see a customers Halo after a month of him having it on, and I was very disturbed by the surface rust on the flat head cap screws. When I started buying them, I asked if this would happen, and they said no. Since I have not had time to make my own Halo, I had no clue.
I am very sorry this has happened, and will be more than happy to replace all bolts for you.
Please shoot me an e-mail with how many Halo's you have, and as soon as I find an acceptable bolt, I will replace all of them.
Thanks for understanding,
KingGlamis

What kind of plating was on them Mike?
If they were just the black, then yeah, that will happen. You need to get some yellow zinc plated bolts, they tend to heal a bit better if they get scraped.

Ya, they were the black ones. That is why I asked them if it would happen. Last time I bought a box, I asked if they had zinc plated, and they said they did not carry them in the style and size I wanted. I might have to switch to a different style.

There is a black zinc coating we are using/spec'ing at work that is really, really good. It is extremely expensive though. Our government only gets the best and it has to be pretty too. :)

Yes, I wanted to use "Rock Ring" but Posion Spyder has it trademarked, and has threatened to sue others who use it....

I was over at Mike shop the other day and I too had heard the term "Halo" and not know what it was. Mike showed it too me and I have got to say "this engineer was damned impressed". If you looking to do rocks, the Halo is hands down the winner in diff protection. Add in the price and it becomes a must buy. I had always run the Warn diff protector and for $60 and my wheeling in Texas is was a good deal.
No I don't run a Halo, my diff covers [DynaTrack] are protectors. Just impressed with what I saw.
Mike you might try these guys:
