I was going thru some old pics from a year or so ago and this is what I found.

The area is on the WEST side of the White Tanks and its more to the mid to south end of the range.
When I found the falls, I was following the south end of the range and headed West

As I came around the mass of the range (thru the foothills) I headed North.
This pic was taken on the West side of the range and looking East, look close and the Radio Towers can be seen in the background.

Have any of you White Tank wheelers seen this set of falls before, do they look familiar ?
I'm thinking of heading out and finding them again, Any-one interested?
I have a good Idea where they are, and they LOOK DO-ABLE :D

I might be able to work a half day. That would free me up at 10am. If you want to do it I can arrange that tonight and maybe go in early.

They have been done....... I've done them in my TJ and 3 friends a CJ and 2 YJ's. There are more falls on that side of the Tanks. No way to link other obsticles to make a good trail. On a side note first time we came across that w/f there was a wooden ramp up it, I think dirt bikes made, no way it would hold a Jeep.

Where we go we dont need no stinkin ramp :D

Well so far if the waether holds,
myself, and Brian are gonna poke around up there, and more than likely run into Mark.

I never walked the wash were I found the falls so I couldnt say for sure where it goes, or if its a trail or not.

are you sure they are the same falls that you and your buds ran ??

Yes they are the same........ just before you get to them on the left (north) side of wash there is a trail going up out of wash meets with another road that will take you around to other side of the falls. To get to the falls go in off of Watson Rd. keep going past Scorpion tr. through the pass as you come down the other side keep heading north as the trail splits. Then you will come to a big sandy wash turn right (east) follow this wash will take you right to the falls. :)

Well you all suck!! Unfortunately many of us still have to work tomorrow! Count me out! Have fun and let me know what ya find though. Sure would be good to find some new trails out that way as everything else is becoming the new landfill!

Hey dudes! It's 1:10 and I am on my way out!! Gonna try to get ya on the CB or cell phone. If for any chance I don't get ahold of anyone I will have the cell phone listed below. Unfortunately I am headin' out alone so if ya'll don't hear back from me by tonight then start worryin'! I'm gonna head the main trail back to Scorpion then venture a little north of there and see if I can find ya'll.

Hope to see ya!

Well we went scouting, and yes they have ben run before. (little sign of rust and paint on the rocks)

We went up the wash a ways past the falls and there were no other obstacles, kinda like we were told
I guess the next set of obstacles would be going back down the falls

It was nice to get out and do some looking around, and the weather was perfect

We were also gonna run "Appetizer", but there was Washers/Dryers/Swamp Cooler/Water Heater, and TO MUCH JUNK in the way
(we gotta do a clean-up out there before it gets to far trashed) :(
We just did an early exit on Appetizer and headed to Tax Collecter and Firebird

Remember, Brian is 6' tall doh :D
Alright, enough jabberin, heres some pics

Nice pics! Brian; what did you think of the 37's?

Thanks for letting me tag along Geno. It was agood time. I really like the new wide me. For the rest of you I recently did a tire/wheel swap from 35's on 8" steel to 37's on 10" aluminum. Between backspacing and wheel width I am now 6-7" wider than before. 78" from outside lug to outside lug. This was my first trip on them. What a difference! I did not think I was driving the same Jeep. I found myself looking for the high lines whenever I could and felt very stable with both tires on the same side stuffed. There will be a price to pay in axles and bearings but I think I can live with that for the new stability.

Did anyone make it up..........when we did it, me and Ron both winched it, the other 2 made it without the winch but not unassisted. Lots of pushing and pulling by 5 people...lol :D

I never even tried to get up it. We could not find an out and I had little desire to come back down that.

There is a way up and out of the wash about 1/2 mile from the falls. Also 2 or 3 washes over from where you were at is a w/f probably 25-30 ft. tall way crazy..... again nothing to link together to make a good trail.
