Well, when it rains it pours. I went to go get emission tested today and I failed the test. It looks like Im ruinning a little rich I think. If anyone could lend me some suggestions on what MAY be the problem it would sure be a help. Btw: the exhaust is a weird blue/gray color if that helps

Although it has been rumered that I know everything, in the interest of not acknoweledge or denying, could you remind us what yr/mk/model/eng you have.
Blue smoke indicates oil (usually bad rings or more commonly bad valve guide seals). If smokes just/mostly after start up, is probably valve guide seals. This could foul your plugs, thereby causing failure.

more info please

If all you are wanting to do is pass the emissions and not take care of the problem, there are a number of additives for fuel and oil that will sometimes temporarily allow you to pass... Head down to the autoparts store and take a look, for some reason I want to say the stuff is called Risoline, but I am not sure...

As said, the blue smoking could be from oil leaking by. Other things to try are a new/clean air filter, new plugs, and adding some rubbing alchohol to the gas tank.. a bottle per 1/4 tank or so if I remember right. Check the timing as well to make sure it's correct. A temporary fix that might fix the oil/blue smoke is running a heavier grade oil (say 20-50), this won't seep through as easily as 10-40 may.

good suggestions.

Actaully..Im not getting any smoke coming out the rear, the exhaust pipe itself is a strange color. I will check the timing/plugs/etc.
