I've been fighting a pesky oil leak where the distributor meets the block. I'm looking for opinions on the best way to seal it.

I've tried the OEM gasket (dealer only part) using hi-temp gasket sealer on the block side (obviously distributor side can't be sealed). When that failed, I tried making my own gasket with gasket material and used the same hi-temp sealer.
Is there a better hi-temp sealer than the copper stuff I'm using? Anyone else ever had to deal with this type leak and if so, how did you resolve it?

Any/all opinions gladly accepted :D

Ditch that Mototrash ignition and install a GM HEI. I have one in inventory, all you need is a AMC V8 gear for the botom and you're runnin without leaks :)

It's the stock AMC distributor (is that Motorcraft?) with the Ford HEI converstion (ie, just the plastic body/cap). It's been this way for a few years and the leak is recent. Give me a call about your GM HEI and what it takes to do the swap.
