I'm sure others from AzVJC have already done this...but thank you for all
your help.
We're a pretty active club, with over 300 members, and we do regular clean
up events. The same week end as White Tanks, a number of us were pulling a
stolen and burned Grand Cherokee from Terminator Trail. We also do annual
clean up at the Coves/Rolls. We really care about our environment, and want
to do our part to keep our public lands clean and open.
Thanks again.

P4W annual cinders run is this weekend.
Theory is, we will all be camping at CJ hill this year.
Fat chance. We'll see.
Anyway, the wife is going up Fri AM, will be there till Monday.
If there's interest I can post a link to a map (not on Yahoo this time)
and directions.
If you've had trouble at Cinders before, this might be a good time to
go, with all the rain there will probably be less dust and more
traction, so that hill you could never quite get up last time...well,
who knows?

Cool...does the meeting time and place work for you?
To anyone who's run this trail lately, is it passable by a '94 Full Size
Blazer, stock, 2dr? Before the rains I would have said "no problemo", but
now I hear reports that some of the obstacles are significantly more
difficult. I don't want this friend's 1st time out to be a vehicle
damaging, no-fun experience.

Subject: Jeep Competition?? Pricey but I think so...
Saw one of these on the road and though it was pretty slick looking.
The entire base looks like heavy duty skid plating. Seemed to me
like a great competitor for the Jeep even though it's priced $10,000
higher. Here are the specs to it. Oh yeah, it's an Isuzu VehiCross.
I'm not promoting it because my father worked for Chrysler for 25
years and headed up the Jeep plant in Canada for the last 5 years of
his career before retiring so nothing will deter me from the Jeep, I
just though this was pretty slick.

I wanted to express my satisfaction with all of the members of the club. I
ordered a set of Daystar Bullet Proof motor mounts and a set of RE 4.5"
front coils from Jay at ToyBox, and with in only two days (one if you don't
count the fact that it was ordered on a Friday), I received my order for the
motor mounts. Jay explained that I would receive the motor mounts in this
exact time, and it definitely happened. I know that I will for sure receive
my ZJ coils at the time Jay promised that they would arrive. Coming from RE,
it will probably take no more than 5 days. I am writing you all because I
have ordered parts from other Vendors (no names, but you know who ), and I
have had no luck at all in receiving my orders on time. Actually, I waited
for some of my other parts ordered from ???? Vendors up to 3 weeks plus....
I want to thank Jay at ToyBox publicly for the great customer service and
the best prices. It is great to have the old policy of treating your
customers with respect and honor, that Jay and ToyBox offer us.. Thank you
Jay.
I would recommend all of you to give Jay and ToyBox a chance to prove their
service and policy. You will not regret it....................

Egroups has a 'no advertising' option for the groups, but it costs $59.40

1FSJ group is going to take up a collection to dump the ads.
Comments? Suggestions? (the Bill Luke treatment perhaps?)

I plan to do the "new and improved" (ie. post monsoon) Box Canyon trail and
possibly Martinez to the Mill this Sunday, 9/3/00. Right now it's just me
and Andy (with the Gold XJ from Bulldog and White Tanks), but anyone else is
welcome. How about meeting at the FJ Texaco at 7:00am?
E-mail or call, 480-924-2622, if you'd like to go.

Subject: ToyBox Off Road!!!
Thanks,

What do y'all think of the ads on top of the messages? Is anybody besides
me annoyed by them?
Egroups has a 'no advertising' option for the groups, but it costs $59.40
per year ( http://www.egroups.com/info/noads.html ). It looks like the
1FSJ group is going to take up a collection to dump the ads.
Comments? Suggestions? (the Bill Luke treatment perhaps?)
Or should I just shut up and live with it? :-)

It was tolerable when they were below the message. It is annoying now
that they are above. If we all send 50 sents we can get rid of the ad
for about 3 years.
