Well, it finally happened. I ran into a deal during a weak moment and now we are a 2 Jeep family. Found a 94 Cherokee with a rebuilt 4.0, very clean, straight, good paint, very good condition for it's age. New cooling system, new tires, brakes, shocks, stock. Pretty much a virgin to the trails. Will post pictures after I pick it up tomorrow evening. Any input or advise on this model would be appreciated, since all my experience is with a CJ.
Just finished putting a 9000# winch on the CJ yesterday. I need another Jeep like I need another hole in my head but now I've got one.
At least I'll be able to do some wheeling in the heat of summer, the CJ is way too hot sometimes, but the wife says it's hers and I can't beat it up too bad  but we'll see about that! :D

I added a few pictures to the original post. Taking it out today just to check everything out. Have driven it a few times (to Jury Duty  ) and all appears to run great. :D

I dont know how much you paid, but it looks like a clean XJ.
If you plan to wheel the XJ in the summer heat, With the AC on :) .
Then I recomend,
1) toggle the electric fan so it could be turned on at any time, even when the JEEP is not running.
2) get some hood vents installed,
3) I also add the "Red Line" Water Weter to the cooling system,
4) Make sure the fan clutch is in good shape
Also run the OEM thermostat, the opperating temp is about 190-210 ;)
Before I had done #1-4, I would remove my hood for summer rock-crawling or she would over heat with the AC on :(
Now its all good

Thanks for the input. I think this one is going to be pretty much a grocery getter for my wife and light duty stuff. We did take it out yesterday and ran up through Florence and over to Casa Grande and back to Tucson. It did see enough mud and stuff for me to try out the 4WD. I was pretty impressed with it.
I'm even considering selling or trading the 76 CJ-5 and picking up another one for me to play with, that way I don't have to worry about the paint or a few dings etc.
