On other forums the cookies dont seem to expire as quickly as they do here. I have it set to keep cookies until they expire yet when i leave this site and then come back to it, im forced to log back in. Does this happen to anyone else? can we set the cookies to last longer than when the browser leaves the site? I should also mention that it does this regardless of browser. I use IE and also Firefox and it does the same with both so i dont think its just my settings.

I use Firefox and also have cookies set to keep until they expire and I don't have this problem. What firewall are you using? Most firewalls also have rules for cookies and it may be the firewall that's cleaning them up and causing the BBS to force the login when it can't locate them.

I use a freeware version of mcafee at home. I thought that might be an issue so I checked to see if it was blocking cookies from there but it isnt. It also does this at work so that rules out any problems with my pc at home. The FAQ states:
When you register, you will be given the option to 'Automatically login when you return to the site'.
I dont remember seeing this when I signed up. Is there a way that I or a Mod can alter this setting? Its most likely the culprit as it doesnt seem to be a hardware/software issue but rather than a user problem.
Thanks

I never have to re-logon, so I am not sure what your problem is.

The BBS FAQ has info on it's cookies and a link to clear your cookies for this site.

You might use the link to clear the BBS cookie, then when you log back in, select the "Automatically login" option to reset a new cookie. Worth a shot, anyway.
