There are a few people interested in these. I can work some type of deal if I get 3 or more to order. Lexan is not DOT approved (NOT street legal), so don't think of it if you have a DD. Lexan can scratch, but as long as you take care of it, it will last. You can put a clear protective static sheet on it, and pull it off when you want, or leave it on to protect the Lexan (NASACAR does this).
Current price is $170 + $30 install for a front TJ, YJ, CJ windshield. We can cut some type of deal for more than 2 people if ordered at the same time.
Either PM or reply here....

It is Lexan. They have a scratch resistant film on it. We have been testing combounds to prevent scratches under normal circumstances, but have not come up with anything that will resist scratches. They are not street legal.

Ok,
I have one sold, any more?
These are for trail vehicles only! No street driving because they are not DOT approved.

Yeah, common guys.
I need a windsheild. Monday the 27th is picture day for my Jeep and I need a new windshield before then.
If you haven't heard, my Jeep is going to be in Xtreme Offroad Magazine. It is getting painted this week, reassembled on Thursday & Friday and then pictures on Monday. If anyone has a high resolution camera (3+ MP, plus being the key) and wants to take pictures, I could use as many shots as I can get.
We'll get ya hooked up James...

I'll help, it shouldn't take that long. I know how it is supposed to go back in, but I am not sure I can do it by myself.

Ok, James is getting his windshield tomorrow, and we have found a different type of Lexan. It is called Lexan MR10. It has is supposed to have a compound on it that will protect it from turning yellow, and also prevent minor scratches. You are supposed to be able to use your windshield wipers too.
This is by no means meant for street driving. So if you have a daily driver, stick with glass. We will not sell you one for a daily driver.
Prices are still the same, profits are nill.
$170 for a CJ windshield, $180 for a YJ/TJ windshield. Custom applications will be determined per application.
I checked in with the company Tom mentioned, and they offer a 15% discount for 2 or more, but you need to add shipping back into it. They are using the same Lexan as we are. Also, he stated he has had template problems, some CJ's were not the same and the customer has had to make the template for him, send it to him, and wait until it got cut to send it back.

Installed! Took us 20 minutes to install the Lexan and bolt it up to the Jeep....there is a glare from my flash, that windshield is crystal clear!

Simply Offroad crew,
Just an FYI. I finally cleaned my lexan windsheild last weekend for the first time. I sprayed it with soap and water, lightly wiping off the big chunks of dirt/sand. Then I used the stuff you guys supplied to do the final cleaning. Wow, no scratches and perfectly clean with no streaks. Normally I can't get a glass window that clean.
Who ever made the final call on the cleaning product did a great job. Works great.

We use a LOT of lexan and other plastic see thru stuff in the military [pilot face sheilds, air plane and helicopter windshields etc]. We get kits to polish out scratches etc, they are all based around using "Brasso" which will polish to "optical clarity".

2. The post about needing a camera was from December...I think you are too late on that! :D
