I took part in a customer appreciation breakfast given by the shop where I work yesterday and we (the owners and employees) served pancakes and sausage and stuff to around 600 people. Some guys in a classic car club brought by their vehicles to display and since there are several of us there at the shop with wheeling rigs we figured we would display them as well.
For some reason I could not get my Jeep to behave, it kept wanting to assert itself over the other two rigs that were there. I would pull in next to one of the zuks and the Jeep would just hop right up on top of it. It was crazy, I couldn't keep it down off the other rigs. Finally I just said the heck with it, and left it there, because as you can imagine I had lot's of pancakes to cook.

It drew a crowd all morning long and some peoples reactions were just too funny. Many people asked how we got it up there, I was even asked if I had hired a crane to lift it up there. Most of the time when we told them I drove it straight up the side we just got blank stares as they just couldn't comphrehend it. I should mention that our shop is in Sun City and most of our customers are of retirement age and, that what we as wheelers do is pretty wild to them. I did have one interesting conversation with an elderly man who had spent a lot of time with his 4x4 exploring some remote areas. Said that he really enjoyed gettin' out there and we talked about Tip Top mine and sunflower mine and Four Peaks area.

We probably had 14 or 15 cars displayed there and as you can imagine the ones right next to me were a little nervous at first.

Really attracted a lot of attention. There was always a crowd around it. I can't imagine how many people would have been there, and how many pancakes we would have served if the weather had been nice instead of cold and overcast.
