Caught a cat in the live trap, and it was not one of the feral ones we are trying to get.

This one seems like it was dumped. No collar, no chip. Fairly sure it was a pet, as it is fairly tame, sweet and will let you handle it. She is being given food, water, and sun protection. We are looking into animal rescues as well, but if someone here claims her, she's yours. Her left ear is clipped, indicating she has been spayed. Here's a picture.

It might be be someone's pet. We sent an email to the HOA, and no one has claimed it yet. No lost posters are up yet, and I check the lightposts in the neighborhood for them. We've had the cat since Saturday evening. If it has owners who truly cared, it should have either a collar or chip.

Returning it is still our first goal, if it has owners.

Even if it is a pet, there may be no leash law but the is a tag and collar law, so even if it is a pet, it the owners fault and the person trapping has no way to know

Apologies for not posting in a long time.

We sent the cat to our local Petsmart to be adopted. We have assumed the best, as she is no longer on the adoption site. I hope there is a now a very happy family with a new pet. If it wasn't for our pet rabbit, we probably would have kept her. No, we could not have kept the cat outside, she has wandering paws.

Thanks to those of you who took the time to look.
