I am new to this forum, i was directed this way by a member/ one of my instructors.
I was hoping someone could lend a hand. I have a small job needed done with a welder, but I do not have the skills or welder... could someone help out?

Post up what it is you need and the kind of job. A fix for a fence or a trailer, etc? There plenty of good people here who have welders. And some out west too.

well I just need a bolt welded in my door hinge. I am cutting my doors off but since the hinge pin on the passengers side was pressed in from the bottom I would like to weld in a bold to replace it.
(thanks for the pointer)

have you done some reserch on removable XJ doors, there are some good writeups out there that wont force you to weld anything plus it will look cleaner.

"yeep" I have looked up some ways to remove them, the 97 and newer are easier for this the 96 and older are not quite the same but same general idea. I like this way the best due to the operation of the doors and taking them on and off.

Don't the doors on an XJ contribute to the structural integrity? I thought taking the doors off of an XJ was bad. Do you have a full cage?
