I didn't get an alert for this. Anyone else receive one? That's the other side of the world for me. I don't think I have enough gas money at the moment to get my guzzler out there. Will monitor this thread for updates.

Did you take any pictures? I know that area, but can't picture where he could have been stuck.

Great job guys! Rep points to everyone.

So, did anybody get an alert for this? Is it a problem with my registration/settings or is it a change with the system?

Only high priority rescue messages get alerts sent out. This is in the low priority area. Now if it was in the high priority initially and was moved to the low priority then there is a problem.

Was it dark out when he got stuck?

Yes he said it was dark and raining. He was going up a hill that went left and right at the top but he went straight over. They were very lucky he stopped the jeep just a few feet from going off a 20ft drop off that had a small ledge and another 20ft drop off.

Thanks for the info on that, Mike. I think that's a better system. Even when someone has posted up for assistance with no alert going out, there has still been somebody responding within a short time, usually just minutes. It's great to have so many members from all over the state (country and world, for that matter). Somebody has always been online and able to help when needed.:2thumbsup: But the alert system that Joe has set up, diagnosed & fixed (more than once) and diligently maintained for us is icing on the cake. Glad we have it - thanks yet again, Joe!
