Hello all,
I was just wondering if there are enough people in out of the way place like Tucson (this includes me) for possibly setting up chapters. Maybe a forum where people from one area Pheonix, Tucson, Flag, etc. could chat about regional issues or last minute runs?

start a chapter and lets us know. I am living in Bullhead city but go down to Tucson all the time and do most of my running out there so you could count me in

I thought about this, and we would be better served having more clubs active in Right of Use Issues, if they had different names. Then the new club gets a sepperate vote.
Sound RIGHT?
I'm not gonna lie, someone else involved with Rock Rats gave me the idea behind that club.
Oh this damn signature is driving me nuts!

I'm not really up on some of this but a couple of things came to mind.
I know Joe put a ton into this BBS and I wonder how or who is willing to put the time, effort and MONEY into setting up hosting, BBS format etc.
The more I use the BBS format, the more I like it, I still use the Yahoo Az_VJC but am more comfortable with this one.
I know a lot of times it seems that all the stuff is going on in Phx, but I'd miss the long distance friendships (does that sound right?) by dividing up the group for regional or geographical preferences.
I don't know if Joe is able, or willing, to start a section in this BBS for regional stuff, (runs in, or can you help me, blah blah blah, in Tucson, Flag etc). It would be cool to be able to be more in tune with Tucson (my home) etc.
Wow, my 2 cents turned into a nickels worth.
Anyhow, just thinking out loud, which is really dangerous for me!

What's wrong with posting your trail runs and such on the main BBS board? I know I have ran a few times down in Tucson, and I am sure that if there are more runs posted you could probably get more PHX people that might want to come down and run.
One of the things that makes this such a great group is our numbers and that we are from all over the state. This gives us greater opportunity to learn about the issues/activities that take place in parts of the state other than Phoenix. Some of us have wanted to branch out into other clubs such as the Rock Rats, Rough Riders, AzA, FM2CD, etc..... But we all have the AZVJC as a common place to share and converse with other around the state.
If you have things that relate to where you live and have questions about them then just post them up and others in your area are sure to answer.

Not sure how many chapters have started but there has been a few people making a yahoo group just like AZVJC for the state they live in. It has the same VJC but their state abbreviation is the first letters. I agree breaking up into cities would fragment the club too much. Don

Actually I was just hoping for a couple of region specific Forum headings, not a seperate BBS or club etc. Just a place on this BBS where you could talk about specific events and things for your area. Everyone on this BBS could just browse through that forum like they would any other on the board.

I need some driving light wires extended, and it's only 200 miles to Havasu for me. Can I invite myself, if I bring what material I have to do the work?

I knew I wouldn't make it! After I sent the post, I thought, I will wake up about 5-6 am, but would never have time after driving 2-3 hours. I did the electrical wire extention myself, and didn't have too much trouble. I did run the wires over the control arm which was stupid because it made it hard to reinstall the cover, but they work and won't take on any water.
Next wiring job; 4 rock lights that I ordered from Harbor Freight. One in front center, rear center and under each rocker panel. I haven't really done the homework of finding a place to bolt them, but I think that would really light up the night! :D

That's something I need to get done, as well... I just have to get the head replaced first. I have a rebuilt sitting in the garage, all wrapped up, but haven't had the money to get the rest of the shopping list taken care of.

This thread has gone in a totally different direction, but, I just got my lights today from Harbor Frieght. I guess I shoulda read the little paragraph under the description of the lights before ordering 4 of them. They are as big as a 6x9 speaker, and deeper! I guess two will have to do as rock lights, and I'll put the other two on the front bumper.
Was it Flexy that made that really nice switch panel over his CB? Hmmmm, just a hobbie, or does he want money to make me one? :D
