I have a great deal of respect for our representatives and senators who actually take the time to respond to issues I send to them. Most recently, concerning State Trust Land Permits, I sent out 15 or so emails to senators and representatives... Ken is the first to respond and here is what he had to say:
Dear Joe,
Thank you for your e-mail bringing me up-to-date on attempt to improve the permitting process. I'm sorry that you've run into the frustrations you identified.
My path occasionally crosses those of the State Land Department officials and I will take the opportunity to express my support for your idea to them. Since I have no direct authority over them, I'm afraid there's not much more I can do but encourage them to work with you on your proposal.
