Ok, This is just to throw some ideas out there to try and raise some for the ORBA. :D
I had a few ideas but want to see what other people think and feel about them......
1. I did a workshop for CB's and if I would have thought about it, I should have gathered donations for the ORBA...... It would not have gone to me but to the ORBA.
You figure if your helping people out they could help out our land use issues with a donation.
*
2. What if we did a fund raiser Poker Run with a small amount going to the winner........ or a car wash?????
*
3. We could setup out at the car show in scottsdale on fri. or sat. ( I can't remember.) and see if we got packets together we could give out info????
Lots of people in scottsdale are in the OHV scene and the more we impact the better.
There is also a car show every Sat. in mesa by the mall on power rd.
*
4. Not everyone on the AZVJC site uses the blackboard site and does not hear of these issues and are ignoring them.
If you lead a run maybe get some info packets to take with you and hand out to everyone in the group and gather some donations if people are willing.....
Also maybe we can post up the land use meetings and as we bring people around on these issues we could hopefully get more people involved with going to the meetings.......
I can not say much though I have never been :( Do not really have a good excuse, why but working nights makes it difficult sometimes.

These are just ideas and if we can all figure something out and get with the correct people to pull it off we maybe able to do something.

Speaking of donations.
I'll be swapping out my dana 35 with a detroit full locker and drum brakes, SOA or SUA, next weekend. Anyone who buys or can sell this thing. I'll donate all the earnings to johns total towards getting him paid up.

If you want to help John out, go spend some money over there AND give him an extra 10% tip ;) John is usually way too fair about his prices and paying 110% is still a good deal. In my opinion John does the best tubework in town. When it comes time to build my next project I will be having John do the tubework.

If you got a TJ, he does a very clean behind the dash cage. :D

I went by there on Friday about 10 AM to see if I could get some emergency welding done (the track bar bracket on my TJ broke loose at the Dana 30 axle housing) after 4 Wheeler Supply told me they couldn't get to it right away (they were booked for the day), but no one was there. I finally wound up at American Precision Mfg. (a shop behind Offroad Unlimited in Mesa) where a guy (Rich) did it on his lunch break. There were no business hours posted on Hunter's store so I couldn't tell if it was his day off, or the store would open later, or what.

Hunter is a man shop and if he has to go get material or (Lunch) he has to lock up, usually he set the little sign in the front door as to when he will be back. He works every day but Sunday and Monday (Sat. by appointment only) He starts around 10:00. I have had good luck calling and getting his girl friend who is very effiecent and a big help to John. HTH

BTW I agree with Scott Hunter does the best tube work in town and I have paid him more then he asked on about every job he has done for me.
