I live about an hour from Kingman...It sure would be nice to know where it is, as I'm getting tired of the heat and the same rocks here in Havasu... :D

We have had two RockCrawling Competitions in Florence Junction. One was with the ARCA in it's first year. Two years ago we had a CalRocs Event at the same site. Due to the FJ area being in the Tucson BLM area it has been hard to pull permits and there is no small town to get the financial boon that would push it for us. A large amount of the comps are near small towns that love the money the Comp brings they help push the Agencies to let the event go. If we can find an area and help get permits I am sure they would love to bring the events back to AZ.

I to would really love to know the area around Kingman, if it is rumor or inuendo then tell me and I will check it out, I live about 30 minutes from there and would love to have a place to get a trail run together.

Isn't the site in Kingman on Private Land? I don't know for sure, but that is what I thought I heard.

A lot of the comps are on Private Land. This cuts the red tape a lot.

Yeah, I figured they were for that very reason. But if the one out here is then it might not be the easiest for you all that live down there to get to it to check it out. :(

Small town Boon answer. Florence Junction would love it but everyone heads back to Mesa and Phoenix. We all live here and do not have to pay for a Hotel and as far as a food we are headed back to Mesa we eat there. When I went to the CalRocs in Boulivard (yeah I never heard of it eaither:) We warned the owner of the small diner they would be swamped. They stocked up on food and still sold out. All the local hotels were full. The local convience store was out of ice and water, and beer. The local casino got lots of money. See what I mean. The Mesa are sees the increase but not like a small community does. Now if we could get a NASCAR like crowd Mesa would be on our side. The agency would sh*# ( but Mesa would be happy:)

That just means we need to get to know the owner!!! :D
Al is a half hour from Kingman and I (...and all of the Havasu Jeep crowd) are about an hour away... Sure would be nice to find out who owns this "Promised Land"...

I'll be camping at my friend's 40 acres in Seligman. I'd love to know of some rock crawling areas around there as well... :D

CalROCs is working on getting a site east of Kingman......... hopefully we can lock something up for 2005.
There is a good site near Florence but it's on State Trust Lands and we haven't be able to get through State Land Dept. yet but that too is being worked on.
Competitions are no longer viable on "trails" so the "rock piles/play areas" are sometimes far and few between.
