I've got a 91 YJ with a 4" ProCrap :p , er ProComp lift, 33's, 4.56's, QuickLok front (D30) and Detroit rear (Ford 9") . My steering wheel feels like it's gonna fall off! It's been like this for 2 days. It's a tilt wheel, when I get in and pull the wheel down and apply a little pressure at the top and the thing moves about 3 inches! Making a u-turn is scary, every time you near the top, the wheel moves, ALOT  . I put an aftermarket steering wheel (Grant) on it about 2 years ago, never had any problems till now. Anyone had this happen? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you check the little hub adapter between your wheel and steering column?

Get a Chiltons for your year of jeep and go to the Suspension and Steering section of the book. There is a diagram of how the steering column goes together. You need to get down into the column quite a ways and there are 4 torx screws that hold the thing together. They are a pain to get to but once you do put some thread lock on them and put back in and tighten should take care of the problem. Happened on my CJ and that took care of the problem and I think they are the same. My neighbor had a YJ same problem and it took care of it also. There are some specitaly tools you might need to get the thing apart or you can micky mouse it to compress a spring and also maybe a puller. Follow the book and you should be OK
Good luck

I took the steering wheel off and made sure that all the nuts, bolts and screws were tight and it still wobbles. I'll go through it this weekend. A bud at work said that I may need to get a new column, and that they run about $125. I'll up-date as I go. Thanks for the responce group!!

Those torx bolts are a pain in the ***** to get to! The hardest part I had was with the key cylinder. It didn't wanna come out. Tightned and thread locked the bolts and no more wobbles!! :D :D Thanks for your help!!
