I'm using a coax with the Ring/Spade terminal on the end. How do I attach this properly to a firestik antenna? I couldn't find any info on it using google.

First you need to buy the connector that the antenna screws into...I don't know what they're called but firestick sells them...then the ring part of the coax goes on the connector bolt, underside of the antenna mount...make sure to sand any powder coat off the mount, then put the rest of the connecting piece on top of the mount with the white washer flush up against the top of the mount, and screw the antenna in on top....I hope that makes sense...if you go down to fire stik they will show you how also..they are very helpful..good luck...too bad you missed the CB workshop...

Yes, I wish I could have made it too. Do you know where the other wire goes? I put the ring where you told me, but I'm not sure where the spade goes.

Sorry, I don't know what a spade is, mine didn't have another wire...what do you mean.. a wire from near the ring?

Yes, two wires come out of the coax cable. I think I'm just going to go get a different cable tomorrow. The screw on kind. Thanks for your help though.

SOunds like its a ground wire...firstik has a great cable with the ring on one end and a detachable coax connector on the other so you can feed the cable thru the hole in the back door and feed it through all the tight spots in the jeep...worked great for me...you will need a new grommet for the back door though...good luck...firestik is right around the corner from 4 wheelers

You can either purchase the mount that has the seperate connections for center and braid or cut it off and install the regular connector.
