when i bought my first home last may, they gave me a flag (and every new home owner in my neighborhood) to place in the pole holder (looks like a pvc pipe) built into my home, to me, it not only signified the American dream of being a homeowner, but really hit home to me as a veteran...this article is a travesty and a slap in the face to any veteran or citizen who is a proud American and recognizes all those who have died in order for us to display it...

As far as I am concerned he has EARNED the right to display the flag wherever he wants. Anybody who wants to complain about a display of the flag of this nation that they are in is free to leave thru the nearest port of entry

Apparently the 50,000 or so e-mails have changed the companies mind... and their website now claims the family is allowed to leave the flag right where it is!

people are free to "think" whatever they want, but this is a utter violation of his rights as a free citizen..what type of deplorable person would tell a veteran he cannot display the American Flag proudly in his home? ...while HOAs do have some worth, this is definitely not one of those times...

another small demonstration that 50,000 e-mails to a small community has a serious impact! Imagine opening your e-mail program and seeing 50,000 unread messages!
