Hi Gang,

It appears as if some (maybe lots of) people are not receiving email notification concerning posts even though they enabled this feature in their user control panel.

If you have enabled email notification... can you tell me if it is working for you?

It works great for me. I have only posted or replied to this a couple of times and I got replies both times.

For those who are not getting email notifications... it could be because you have not requested notifications in your user control panel setup options.
If you want to be notified when a post you either start, are interested in, or have responded to changes... go to your control panel settings and make sure you choose the appropriate options.

Also... make sure your email address is still correct. If it has changed since you signed up; the BBS could be sending emails to an old email address.

Joe - I checked settings, they all seem good, but I do not get email notification of PMs (the only email notification I want, right now) - but I still get occaisional emails from some old threads that get posted into from when I first signed up to the BBS, and had thread email turned on...guess the email notification stuff is stored with the thread somehow in the BBS db...

I do not get any emails when new posts are made on threads that I have posted on and my settings are correct I believe. What's wrong?

I do not get my email notifications :confused: and as you know I also requested my password bwe emailed to me and that did not work for me either. I checked my settings and everything is correct.

Have you double checked the email address you told the BBS to send notifications to? Perhaps it is a bad/incorrect email address?
