Sandy and Louy Karns have been running the San Juans for over thirty years and comming off Red Mountain Pass after the run hit black ice on the Pavement and they both tumbled off the otherside,Lou had a few scratches but Sandy died a week later of head injuries,there biggest thrill was showing out of staters there trails our thoughts are with you Lou God bless you Sandy you will be missed........Thom and the rest of us whew new you

The San Juans are pretty small. You meet everybody at some point up there. They both seemed like really nice people. So sorry for Louie's loss--I know Sandy will be missed.
