Hi

Jeepspeed car has trussed dana 35 I know I need to switch axles but for now I want to get this rear end back together.

all bolts came loose on ring gear and broke off . second time this has happened in 2 years this last time loctite and saftey wire coulding hold them together.

I need help direction pulling lock rite out so I can pull pinion and ring gear to tap out bolts and install new bearings.

On the lock right you got to get the little springs to come out of the holes before anything will come apart. Use like a small pick or something.... then the retaining pins will slide over to where the springs were and it will come out. Before you do all this pull the carrier from the axle, (unbolt the ring gear which you should not have to do since it is busted off) then begin disassembling lock right. Let me know if you need anything. give me a call 480 688 7972. If your not to far I maybe able to swing by and give a hand.

ok so I looked the loc rite over tonight. I can see the springs and the pins. How do you get those things out. Do you pry the spring out of the oblong hole? I am guessing the spring comes out first.

I have to get the locker out before I can remove the c clips to get the rest of the gears out of the center right?

Do you use like a little pic tool to get the spring out?

I didnt want to ruin the spring but if you can buy the pin and springs seperate maybe that what I might have to do.

Jon thanks for your feedback

:) Yeah you have to use a pic or something like that to get the springs out. It will seem like your going to ruin them but they are tough little buggers, so don't to afaid of them. Also keep a close eye on them when your pulling them out, they might decide to depart the locker rather quickly !!!!! I'm not to sure about the c clip but I would image that you would need to get the locker apart before the c clips would come out. Have fun , talk to you later give me a call if you need anything just don't call past midnight, I work nights so it is no big deal. Also don't call before 9 am I'm not up yet !!!
