Subject: NEW Az Crawling pics

I just had a time to edit and upload the 50+ pictures, I placed a little
frame so its easier to see them all, you will see on the bottom of the page
the numbers from 1 to 54 or 55, each one is a different pic, they are all on
a medium size (350x200), and still can appreciate the details, after you see
a picture, the number will turn to red, so it will be easier to see them
all....

http://www.alloffroad.com/rcc

or go to www.alloffroad.com and click on the link at the top of the main
page....

I just want to say something, I want to thank for the pics, those pictures
were taken by Keith Auble, Editor of Alloffroad.com, aka Crusarius, he spent
his time on them, so please watch them as many times as you want, but don't
make a bad use of them...

THANKS

Thanks for all your help! I briefly checked out the web site. Wow! Lots
of info. I'll read more later but for now read your article on the Coves
Cleanup. We definitely appreciate the work you and your group did, but
wouldn't it be nice if all people were concerned and didn't litter in the
first place?

I've asked Hall Ashcroft, Deputy Recreation Officer, to give you a call and
coordinate on the Bulldog Canyon work you'd like to do. He's the one with
the best knowledge on where to put the collected trash.

Thanks again!

Anyone have an old rim collecting dust on the West side of town? I am
looking for a 15"x6" (old '89 Cherokee style), 5 on 4.5" pattern. I am
getting ready for a Death Valley Jeep trip and I need to make up a spare for
my Jeep trailer. Linda has one but we are on opposite sides of the valley
and my free time schedule is not working out well for me to get over to her
place (sorry Linda).

I found a couple at a auto shop on Grand Ave., but the guy wanted way too
much for a rusted out rim. Come on folks, make me a deal I can't refuse!

(1) Bernier - Jeep CJ.

(2) Waggoner (Currie team) - Jeep TJ. They were awesome on Course 2 Obstacle
7. The first ones to figure out that backing down it was easier than trying
to
make a hard left turn. Excellent teamwork.

(3) Joel P Randall - I think he was driving a YJ. I think he backed down the
obstacle too. BTW: His 1998 ZJ is featured in a 'how-to' article in the
latest
Four Wheeler magazine.

I am surprised that Ellis and Campbell scored so low. Randy Ellis' driving
was
impeccable -- except for the rollover on 5. Campbell's driving was great,
but
his spotter took out a flag at the obstacle I was judging.

The best driver I saw at the competition was Stevie Richardson. Blue, white,
and yellow Toyota truck. His driving style was wonderful.

I am thinking about going up to the Cedar City Color Challenge just to watch
the rock crawling championship.

I am exploring other possibilites of my tranny noise before I go for the rebuild. This is the ax5 tranny and the np 242 transfer case.
Does the chain in the Transfer case ever need adjustment?
It also might be the output shaft bearing. I do have a little fluid leaking from the yoke. From what I hear changing the bearing and seal isn't difficult.
I do have some water contamination in my tranny so I am going to have it flushed and then I think I might go for the bearing change.

Hi All,

I am sure you all read the email that United Four Wheel Drive
Associations, the nation's leading representative of four wheel drive
enthusiasts, has compelled the Federal Government to sign a settlement
agreement prohibiting the US Forest Service from categorically closing
roads or using the term "unroaded" in establishing roadless areas for
Wilderness designation. Carla Boucher is the full-time lawyer for the
UFWDA and has been working on this lawsuit for over two years. I think
she deserves a big thank you for all of us.

I haven't found a card on-line that we can all sign separately so what I
thought we could do is all AZ-VJCers can send me an email with some sort
of thank you message. I will do lots of cutting and pasting, then send
Carla one huge message along with an electronic greeting card. What do
you think?

Just send a reply email with the above subject so I can keep track of
them all. So all you members that have been lurking in the shadows, it's
time to show your appreciation. This win is HUGE!

Thanks!
Linda

Hi all....sorry I missed everyone at the ARCA event....I looked for the
campsite but as we got there after dark, it was difficult to track you
down... I did run into Bill Ballard (hope I got it right, I'm terrible
with names) who was also looking for the group....don't know if you
found them or not Bill but hope you did....all in all though, it was an
enjoyable weekend....now onto other things...I have a couple of
questions to put to the group....

I put my 4 inch lift on sunday morning and the 33 inch tire today...the
problems I ran into are.....1) still have that problem with the
crossmember interfering with the front drive shaft....does anyone know
of a place that can fabricate a new one for me....I thought about
notching it, but I think it might weaken it too much......2) while
changing out the shocks, I underestimated my own strength and swisted
off the shock stud on the upper mount....(I was not having a very good
day at this point)....does someone make a replacement mount that can be
welded in place....that is if I can figure out how to cut the old one
off....or is there someplace that won't ask me to take out a second
mortage that could take care of it for me....

sorry this post is so long and drawn out but I could use the help as I
would love to one day get the money pit off the pavement....and
besides....what else would I be doing at 2 in the morning?????

thanx...

QUESTION: since my cj has a chevy engine and tranny....does that make
it a JEEVY????
