What a strange election year. C'mon guys this election bites so far! The ads are ridiculous.

At first I wondered what was up with ole George Bush saying "I am George Bush, and I approved this message". It was original though kind of weird. He's been doing this for at least a month now.

But tonight I saw a Kerry ad and he did the exact same thing! "I am John Kerry, and I approved this message!". What a bunch of crap. I've always been interested in elections but this year bites! Lets be original or something. Did anybody else see this?

Bush vs. Kerry? Oh my gosh! I'd rather have a pimple in my buttcrack than vote for one of these guys!

I've always voted conservatively, but oh man, please send a third party candidate to the table this year. These guys absolutely suck!

I heard on the news that each campaign's official ads must contain that statement by the candidate. Ads which don't contain the statement are from independent parties supporting (or bashing) the candidate of their choice.

Interesting point. I guess having a tag line at the end of the ad like in years past isn't enough anymore. That makes sense (though the rest of the message is still bogus bullcrap in most cases. ;)

Hi Scott,

Those words... which the candidates themselves MUST state are a direct result of the campaign reform laws passed a couple of years ago (McCain-Feingold?).

I think I'm going to write myself in. I've always wanted to run for President.

Chris, that is a hell of an idea. Lets start a local campaign and write in one of our very own as President this year. I am not to happy with either one of them myself.

Hmmmm, who would be a good choice for us?
