Has any one had any problems with the Skyjacker Long Arm Lift kit?
We put a 6" Long Arm Kit on my cousins TJ a few months ago and on
Thursday he bought some new tires and wheels and while installing
them we noticed that the rear upper arm mounts on the axle (they came
with the kit) are broken and the factory rear track bar mount on the
rear end is also broken! I can't believe how lucky he is that we
noticed it when we did! The 2 arm mounts are completely broke and the
track bar mount is only held on by about 1/2" weld or so! The kit is
called "ROCK READY", but he has only wheeled it like 2-3 times on
some mild trails (Box Canyon, MArtinez Cabin, etc) and it has broke
already????
Has anyone had any experience with this kit? Good or bad? He has not
had a chance to call Skyjacker yet to see what they say. By looking
at where it broke, it looks like the brackets are just not strong
enough???

LOL...Its a SKYJACKER kit....seriously, I have seen that problem with many of them. THeir welds SUCK, metal is thin, design is lousy. What really SCARES me is that NOBODY FELT IT WHILE DRIVING!!!! The fact that it was noticed ONLY upon install of new tires is scary....I would suggest Hunter Off-road for the repairs, or start pricing a new kit....May I suggest RockKrawler's 7" LA Coil-over kit???? :D :D :D :D
