What size is the picture? I am not talking about memory size, but physical size. I believe they can only be 75x75 pixels.
Do you have the picture on the web someplace? I can look at it.

I checked the BBS settings for avitars... and there is only one setup for the entire site... either on or off. I just changed mine out and this post will be a test to see if it worked. Not sure why a few people would be having problems.

There is another section called "Use Custom Avatar" right under the "Do not use Avatar" radio button. If you select the "Use custom Avatar" you should be able to pick one off of your hard disk or off the web somewhere.
Avatars are enabled for everyone... I can't even turn them off for selected members... how confusing...
One of you shoot me a PM with your username and password (PM please... don't post it here) and I will login as you and see what you see.
Kind Regards,
Joe

I went in and checked your accounts and it showed you had no avatar enabled (your choice). I enabled them... then selected an avatar... which you can now change. Still not sure why some work and some don't... but yours should work now.

Not my choice. I still see no way to add or change what you have done. Which screen is it under?

I just went to another site and updated my avatar there. It appears that the only section I see here is the "Do not use an avatar". I do not see the section entitled, "Use custom avatar" or anywhere to put the upload info. If you saw the Use custom part, you have something configured differently and it appears there are others that seem to be missing it as well. I will send in a seperate email the screen shots of what I see and what I should expect to see.

It does not appear to be OS (98 and XP) or browser related. IE 5.5 , IE 6.0, and Netscape 7.1 all show the same. It could be a Apple thing?

Hmmmm..... it can't be an apple thing because I see the avatar control panel fine and I've tested Microsoft Internet explorer, Apple Safari on the server and IE and Netscape on a winblowz machine and I see everything fine, both as administrator as well as my alias user.
I suspect it is a vBulletin problem... I'll try and reset things and see how it goes.

Okay... I just downloaded and installed the latest patches for vBulletin... let's see if this fixes the avatar issues that some of you have been having. Please let me know.
Joe
Still no option to add one for me. I'm even running Safari on a new Mac under OS 10.3.3 No big deal though...
