Does anyone know what the output (amps) of a stock TJ alternator is?

According to the window sticker from my 2001 TJ Sport, the alternator output is 117 amps.

someone (when whent to parts store) said there is standard and heavy duty (commented that both were same price)

Do you remember if the alternator in your 01 TJ was a Denso?
If so then this is great news. I do not have to upgrade immed. to power lights.

Yup, I just went out and looked. It is a Denso. Looks like the part number is 864AA.

Thank you Steve and Olney for the info. Sorry I couldn't reply earlier, I took my wife up the four peaks trail and we played on the granite shelves.
