I need one that will do offset notches. Im using 1.5" tube and i need it to sit on the outside of the 1.75" tube.

I know it takes a nice notcher to do this and not everybody has one so its a shot in the dark. Just need it for a weekend. I'll get everything i need done and get it back to you by sunday.

get the joint jigger from harbor freight, all you have to do is change the hole saw to whatever size you are coping for. they aren't the best but do the job.

that would put it in the center of the larger tube. I need it to sit on the outside of the tube. Like this...

:fashizzle:
Ive had mine 6 years and used it once. I use two angle grinders. One with a cutting blade and one with with a flap disk.

:) I have done all my notching with my chop saw. No doubt more of an art than anything, most notably when you get into some funky angles. Then clean it up with a flap disc. Took me 15 minutes to figure it out, but probably a couple of years of every day to truly ace it.

Yeah, couldn't you just cut the tube with an angle grinder/cut off tool?

Time in October shouldn't be a problem... But, I would order the light sooner than later. Last time I talked to them, out of 20's. I would think by now they have more in stock but Rigid has been busy.

Ty, sorry to hyjack:
Jeff, I was looking at this last week. Can you offset the M-Tech Notcher? Do you place a spacer under the tube bracket/vice?
