i found this welding table (http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/mat/1366579474.html) on craigslist, it's a really good deal.

the guy says it weighs about 400lbs. if my math is correct it actually weighs about 650lbs just for the top plate not including the legs. he said he moved it with 4 guys.

anyone have a good idea on how to do this without using a small army of men or busting a nut trying to lift it by hand?

i would appreciate the help of some strong guys to help me move it... or if someone has a recovery trailer or something with a winch? i don't know...

let me know if you can help. i would like to go get it today.

That's a heck of a deal. I'm still looking for a table top for my welding table I built. I lost interest when it was 115 in the garage. I'll have to check craigslist in the future. If you pass up on the deal let me know and I'll buy it... anyone that knows what plate, particularly that thick costs knows this is a paramount of smoking deals.

Doc I have a trailer you can use if you need it. Bit of an overkill but 18' should handle it! I'm around 67th and Camelback if you need it.

thanks for all the offers... i was too busy at the shop to check in on the forum for any help (don't have dsl there yet). i went by to pay the guy to pick it up later and realized he live 3 blocks from my dad's house. so we put it in my dad's truck and will just basically just slide it out of the bed and dump it on the floor till i can get the legs welded on it and figure out a way to flip it...
