Anyone have some small block valve springs they want to get rid of? I need two for some coil spring retainers that I want to build.

If you are planning on doing a coil spring retention setup similar to the Safari-Gard model (there's a picture of their product on the internet), I would use a spring that has a compression of around 50-70#/in and 4-5" long. That seems to work the best. I don't know if the valve springs you are considering fall into this range. For my project, they didn't offer the compression I wanted. I made a set of coil spring retainers for the rear coils on my ZJ a few years back. They worked really well with 4.5" coils and the lowered bump stops (using the spacers that came with the RE kit). When I went to 6.5" coils, I took them off. I think I might still have a picture and parts list for the setup floating around somewhere.
