Just wanted to mention that I found diesel for $1.819 at the Mobil station at Power & Guadalupe. Hopefully the prices will come down soon.

We did the 4 peaks trail and crossed over and down to Roosevelt lake. On the 188 about 2 miles north of the trail crossing we found gas for $1.79! She said the owner of the little group of buildings owns a bulk plant and since they are not in the valley they don't have to mess with all the additives (MTBE) that get put in gas for the valley. That is also why gas is cheaper up in Sedona and Prescott.
Today I heard a report on the radio, that the Fed believes that crude oil prices would remain at or near the current level for two years.
Somebody want to tell me again, why we invaded Iraq?

Invading Iraq wasn't for possession of the oil fields.
The latest on the radio was that gasoline prices will probably level out around $2.359 in the PHX area. Some parts of CA are seeing prices around $3/gal.

There might be a good side effect to the higher prices...
Less traffic.

For the first time in my memory gas is cheaper in Heber than it is in Phoenix! $1.78 here through the whole time it went from a $1.45 to $1.99 in Phoenix.

That's what the old wagon is getting. A 4-cyl diesel (Cummins 4BTA). :D
BTW, I have a 1986 XL1100 Evo Sportster for sale.
I drove from PHX to Durango and back this past week. We were the highest priced gas on the trip. Holbroock was in the upper 1.70's. Gallup was 1.52ish. Framington and Thoreau were in the lower 1.60's and Durango averaged 1.67.
Regarding the Piglet for sale, what were you wanting for it? I build three to four Scooters a year for friends and clients. I know of two people that are looking for the right little Sporty. A mid 80's 1100. Is it belt drive and a 5 speed? Also, access to a pic or two is always nice. Let me know and I'll pass out the word. I'm looking for a Hinged rear fender for my Panhead. I was rear ended in January and the bike's been down as I get ready to refabricate the rear fender. If you know of any, please pass the word along.

I did a belt drive retrofit when the bike was about 3 years old (right before the 50th Sturgis Rally). It has custom paint, an FXR tank, and performance upgrades. The belt drive moved that yucky shifting point away from 35mph so in-town riding is not as much of a pain. 1980s Sportys are all 4-speeds.
email me directly at minihummer@att.net and I'll send you pictures.
